Our founding team spent years working alongside physiotherapists, pain specialists, and neurologists — developing products in the wellness space and learning, slowly, what actually works and what doesn't.

The idea for Somora came from somewhere much closer to home. One of our founders watched his mother spend the better part of three years cycling through appointments, gadgets, and creams — all for neck pain that never really went away. Some things helped briefly. Most didn't. And the things that genuinely worked in a clinical setting simply weren't available in a form she could use at home.

That gap — between what professional care can do and what people can actually access daily — is what we set out to close.

How we built it

We didn't start with a product. We started with a question: what does the body actually respond to when it comes to neck pain, and why do most at-home devices fall short?

After extensive research and consultation with pain care professionals, the answer was consistent.
